Who Are We?

PriorsVLE Ltd was formed by VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) professionals with over 15 years combined experience in Supporting, Managing and Hosting VLEs, from school and college sites to those of businesses large and small.

Based in the West Midlands in the UK, we aim to offer best-in-class support and services around VLEs such as Moodle, Mahara and Totara.

What Do We Do?

We offer a range of services to help organisations of any size to use their VLE to the max. We provide expertise in our support services for when you need a hand and (coming soon!) our hosting services.

We aim to make our services easy to use and simple to understand. So no matter your level of VLE knowledge, we can help you get your site up and running speedily.

We offer Technical Support and can undertake Bespoke Work, so if you have an issue with your self-hosted platform or require a managed technical change then we can help.

When not working directly on customer systems we work hard to promote and improve the Moodle VLE platform.

Leon Stringer

Leon Stringer

VLE Technical Consultant

Leon had been working in IT for over 25 years starting out with connectivity systems for ICL mainframes. He also worked for an NHS trust in the West Midlands for nine years but doesn’t like to talk about this.

He first encountered Moodle in 2011 supporting the Linux platform used for hosting sites for primary and secondary schools. From there he moved on to working for a Moodle Partner before breaking out to form PriorsVLE with Dan.

He likes Linux and free/open source software having been involved in Linux since he first saw a Slackware installation in 1995. He passed his LPI-2 (Linux Professional Institute level 2 certification) in 2010.

Leon loves to run but always seems to have an injury preventing him from doing this. His 10K personal best is 0:45:41 at Lichfield in 2015.

Dan Bennett

VLE Technical Consultant

Dan has been working with Moodle since 2008, starting when Moodle was at version 1.9, having worked with customers from many backgrounds, supporting them with their Moodle sites when an issue arises – whilst also helping Moodle users in the Moodle Forums and raising issues and creating fixes in the Moodle Tracker.

In the last 5 years, Dan’s has been working for a Moodle Partner where his main role has been to support new clients who have just decided on Moodle – setting their sites up and giving them a helping hand whilst they get started, on inward migrations to ensure their Moodle site runs smoothly and with as minimal downtime as possible for their users, as well as supporting existing clients daily.

In his free time, Dan is a keen music producer with a number of tracks played on BBC Introducing in Shropshire and appearing on two compilation albums, one of which was a CD release! Dan is also a huge gamer, which is probably starting to become an addiction!
